To support you in achieving your lifetime financial goals, we have ten items that we deliver on a regularly scheduled basis to our annual retainer clients:
1) Annual Update of the Financial Plan - a complete and thorough annual update of your comprehensive financial plan, with the focus on your values and goals and benchmarking your progress.
2) Implementation Plan - an annually updated implementation plan, which summarizes your financial plan into a simple chronological list of action items. We use this as an agenda checklist for every interaction with you throughout the year since it spells out the actions that you should take this year (and in future years).
3) Progress Reports - every four months you will be given a simple, one-page summary of assets, which is designed to show your progress benchmarked against your goals.
4) Asset Accumulation - we will ascertain and analyze how your assets are allocated, and give you advice on how to best position them to create the highest likelihood of achieving your goals. We will show you how to diversify your assets to guard against market downturns and enhance your returns by lowering your costs and taxes.
5) Estate Planning - once every five years (or more frequently if necessary) we'll review your estate plan. You will be guided through the process of deciding how your family is taken care of and how you want your assets divided. The focus is on simplicity for your heirs, avoiding probate, and reducing estate taxes.
6) Goal Accomplishments - ongoing attention to milestones and goals and a game plan for accomplishing those goals, updating the game plan when the financial plan is updated. We will contact you in advance of every goal date you have established - which will allow you to focus on the things in your life that are really important to you.
7) Cash and Debt Management - assistance with cash and debt management on an as-needed basis. We work with you to establish adequate cash reserves to handle financial issues that come up in your life. This may also involve establishing a debt elimination plan as well as analysis of major purchases.
8) Insurance Review - we will review your coverage and communicate with your insurance agents once every three years (more frequently, if needed) to ensure you have the right types and amounts of insurance and see if there is anything that can be done to reduce your premiums.
9) Income Tax Planning - during the last two months of each year, we will complete a written income tax projection for the current calendar year to identify tax opportunities and remove unexpected surprises.
10) Income Tax Preparation - we will prepare your basic state and federal income tax returns, or we'll coordinate with your tax preparer, to help you benefit from the prior year's planning.
